FutureLearn thrilled to be announced Bett 2017 Award winner
On January 25th 2017, Bett announced FutureLearn as their winner of the ‘Free Digital Content/Open Educational Resources’ category.
Every year, the world’s leading showcase of education technology, Bett, celebrates the creativity and innovation present in the technology of today’s classrooms. Winners are selected based on the ICT support they provide in nurseries, schools, colleges and special schools and the success that their technology brings to these various classroom settings.
This year, FutureLearn’s ‘FutureLearn for Schools’ received the award for free Digital content/Open Education Resources. The initiative inspires students with free online learning courses from leading universities, giving students access to ideas, debates and resources to help improve critical thinking and learning skills, either to fuel their independent study, enrich their current curriculum or prepare themselves for university.
FutureLearn’s Head of Marketing, Neil Harvey said “We are thrilled to be a Bett 2017 Award winner; we are very proud of our FutureLearn for Schools initiative, to encourage students to learn independently and to give them a taste of the content they can expect from leading universities.
