Babcock Education partners with FutureLearn, offering CPD courses to improve outcomes for children and young people

Babcock Education, the UK’s largest integrated service provider for education improvement and specialist intervention services, will work with FutureLearn, the online social learning platform, to offer flexible and accessible online training opportunities for teachers and education support staff.

This new partnership will combine Babcock Education’s renowned expertise in school improvement, safeguarding and prevention and specialist support for vulnerable learners with FutureLearn’s online social learning platform to teach a global audience of educators strategies designed to dramatically improve life chances for children and young people.

Introduction to Teaching Vocabulary, launched last week, is the first of many exciting courses that Babcock Education will provide on the FutureLearn platform. The course covers the best strategies for teaching vocabulary combined with some of the key current research in this area.

FutureLearn, having recently surpassed 9 million learners worldwide, will expand Babcock Education’s reach, helping them to achieve their mission tobetter the lives of children and young people across the country through sustainable improvement.

The FutureLearn platform resonates with leaders, teachers and education policy makers, as well as many other practitioners working within the sector. The platform is expanding in this area and will soon be training over 6,000 computer science teachers as part of the National Centre of Computing Education, a Government-led initiative.
