Three brand new free online courses are now live on FutureLearn and ready for you to join, while several previous courses are preparing to run again. Here’s our quick guide to them all.

It’s aimed at people who already have a basic understanding of film production.

World War 1: Lessons and Legacy of the Great War
We often remember World War 1 as a conflict that was both senseless and ineffective. This six-week course aims to show how this view is untrue.
You’ll discover how the allies won a decisive victory over the Germans, learning with UNSW Australia’s John Connor – one of the country’s leading military historians.

Bioprinting: 3D Printing Body Parts
This four-week course explores how biomaterials and 3D printing are colliding, to create revolutionary, bioprinted body parts – from hip implants to facial transplants to lab-grown organs.
It’s the first course on FutureLearn from the Australian Institute for Innovative Materials at the University of Wollongong.
